Bacon. Wrapped. Sweet. Potatoes.
I should just stop writing and give you the recipe.
But let me prove their worth. I have taken these things to no less than 4 holiday parties over the past two weeks. They never last. They always please. What more do we need?
The best part is how simple they are. Ridiculously simply.
The Best Bacon Wrapped Sweet Potatoes
Start with two sweet potatoes, scrub them and cut them into fries:
I like to season them the way I season my sweet potato fries. Nothing crazy. Salt. Pepper. Garlic powder.
Then we wrap the fries in bacon. Your sweet potatoes never loved you more.
I left some sweet potatoes without bacon for people who don’t like bacon. I haven’t found such a person yet but, you know…
I cut the bacon in half length wise because I like the bacon to get crispy. The best way to achieve this is to avoid having your bacon overlap. But this is your party, do what you want 😉
To get the bacon crispy, put them in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Then flip and do another 10-20 minutes ( I start at 10 minutes and keep a watch on them!).
If you can get them to the party without eating them all I commend you and your guests should know of your great patience and restraint.
The first party I took them to was to our CrossFit holiday party. I walked in and put the fries on the table. I went back out to my car to grab the dipping sauce (maple syrup and sriracha ketchup) and when I returned the fries were gone.
So, there’s that. For all your holiday party needs!!
Oh wait, silly me. DO drizzle them in maple syrup 😉

Notes
Optional: serve with 100% pure maple syrup or paleo sriracha ketchup!
The first time you make these be sure to check them every 10 minutes. Everyone’s oven is different. You are looking for the bacon to get crispy. Also, play around with the seasonings! I might try some with cumin next time or paprika! You can also forgo the seasonings all together and just wrap up the sweet potatoes as they are.

OH. MY. GOODNESS. A must-try! Bacon makes life so much better. Thanks for posting…I will make them for our xmas family get-together.
These are SO GOOD!! Love that you shared that you cook your sweet taters at a higher heat, shorter time and then flip em so they have that “grilled” taste. I have always cooked mine for longer and at a lower heat. I also like that you don’t peel your potatoes. Looks like we will be having these for the holidays.

Cari! So fun to see you here on my little blog. Thank you for your sweet words! You are such a gem. I just love you so much. xoxo
Oh, wow! I can scent that bacon now!!! A great combo!
I took these to a party today and everyone loved them! I was worried that the bacon would crisp before the sweet potatoes were cooked enough bu that wasn’t a problem at all. They were so good and easy to make! Thanks for the recipe!
